Royal Jordanian

A member of the oneworld alliance, Royal Jordanian is the national flag carrier of Jordan. Royal Jordanian operates daily flights between London Heathrow and Amman, the capital of Jordan as well as regular connecting flights to Aqaba as well as surrounding Middle East countries. Flights to and from the UK are normally operated by wide-bodied modern Airbus A330 aircraft.

 

Crown Class (Business Class)

Royal Jordanian's Crown Class is the epitome of luxury and comfort in air travel. In an innovative step, Royal Jordanian have merged First and Business Classes to offer a premium service at business class rates.

Wearing traditional Jordanian robes, Royal Jordanian air hostesses welcome Crown Class passengers and serve them Arabic coffee upon boarding. The 'sleeper seats' in Crown Class on the Airbus A340 aircraft are a generous 83 inches apart, and can recline to a flat 180 degrees for optimum comfort. All recliners are equipped with large in-arm video screens and flexible reading lights and you can control all the features at the touch of a button.

 

In-flight Entertainment
For your entertainment, the Airbus A330 gives you access to as many as 14 video channels and 8 audio channels.


The International Herald Tribune World Special Edition brings you the latest news updates on current world affairs, business, technology, fashion and entertainment. For those who like keeping score, the finance and sports channel on board the Airbus A330 screens programs exclusive to Royal Jordanian that give up to date news on the latest investment and market trends, as well as major sporting events and news from around the world.

 

The in-flight air show provides flight-related information, such as the current altitude, outside temperature, route map and the estimated time of arrival.

 

A wide selection of Jordanian and international newspapers and magazines are also available, including Royal Wings, Royal Jordanian's bilingual (Arabic/English) in-flight magazine, which offers photo essays, feature articles, and much more.

 

A la carte dining
When travelling on Crown Class, you can either order (24-hours before your flight) a special meal to suit your dietary or religious needs, or you can choose a sumptuous four-course meal from the on-board menu. Meals are accompanied by a fine assortment of alcoholic or soft beverages. And, of course, you can help yourself to a snack or drink from the pantry at any time.

 

Economy Class

Royal Jordanian Economy Class offers excellent international in-flight service. You are able to get your boarding pass and confirmed seat number up to 24-hours prior to your scheduled flight and the airline operates a dedicated terminal in Amman.

Disposable ear sets are available to listen to music during your flight. There are 8 audio channels to choose from with compositions specially compiled for Royal Jordanian. The latest film releases are also played on the large cabin screens. The screens also show flight-related information, such as current altitude, outside temperature, route map and estimated time of arrival.


Choose from a wide selection of Jordanian and international daily newspapers or you can read the current bilingual (Arabic/English) in-flight magazine, Royal Wings, for interesting feature articles on Jordan,  destinations, and much more.

Duty free sales on board include a wide range of men and women's perfumes and cosmetics, cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, chocolates, watches and pen sets.

 

When you book your trip with Royal Jordanian you can pre-order a special meal to fit your dietary and religious needs from a menu of over 20 meals specially prepared by the in-flight catering service. Complimentary drinks are also served.
