Day 1 London - Amman
Fly
from London to Amman with Royal Jordanian, where you will be
greeted and driven to your hotel for a two night stay.
Day 2 A day in and around Amman
Today you will be picked up from your hotel and driven north to
the impressive Roman site of Jerash, where a local guide will
show you around the ruins. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of
Amman visiting the citadel and Roman theatre.

Day 3 Amman - Petra
From Amman you journey down the 5,000 year old King`s Highway to
Petra, stopping to see Mount Nebo, with wonderful views over the
Dead Sea as well as the Christian mosaics of Madaba and the
crusader castle of Kerak. You arrive late afternoon in Petra for
a two-night stay.
Day 4 Petra
Today you will enjoy a full guided tour of Petra
(approximately 4 hours). Your private guide will show you around
the highlights of this ancient city, allowing you
some time on your own afterwards to explore at your leisure.
Petra covers a vast area and you will be drawn from one area to
the next by the fascination which captures every visitor.
Day 5 Petra - The Dead Sea
After breakfast you journey slightly further south to visit the
amazing Wadi Rum, a moonscape in the red desert which you will
explore by jeep (typical time 2 hours). From Wadi Rum, you veer
back North to the Dead Sea where you can relax for two nights
and enjoy excellent hotels, bathing in the salt waters and
fantastic sunsets over the Dead Sea itself.
Day 6 The Dead Sea
A day of relaxation at the Dead Sea, swimming, sitting by the
pool or taking a massage, many of which incorporate the
mineral-rich mud which is drawn from the bed of the Dead Sea.

Day 7
Fly to
Muscat
You will be picked up for
the relatively short transfer to the airport for your journey
onwards with Royal Jordanian to Muscat.
Day 8 Muscat, Nizwa, Jabal Akhdar and
Wahiba
Sands
Visit Nizwa Fort overlooking the ancient town, then onwards to
the inspiring Oasis and Waterfalls of Tanuf.
Proceed
to view, but not ascend, Jabal Akhdar or Green Mountain which at
its highest point is 2800m above sea level. From here drive
directly to Wahiba Sands in time to see the sun set over the
desert which is a truly wonderful sight. Sleep at the 1000
Nights Desert camp sheltered by Bedouin style accommodation
under a roof of starry skies and enjoy this once in a lifetime
experience. In the evening you will enjoy a traditional Arabic
meal with Omani coffee and dates.
Day
9 Wahiba
Sands, Wadi Bani Khalid, Sur and Ras Al-Jinz
Enjoy
an exhilarating round of “dune bashing” in a four wheel drive
vehicle
then travel to the coastal village of Sur to see the Wadi Bani
Khalid which
is the best-known wadi of the Sharqiyah region. Drive to our
overnight destination at Ras Al Jinz.
Day 10
Ras Al-Jinz, Wadi Shab, Tiwi and Muscat
Enjoy
turtle watching at Ras Al- Jinz at
both night (from 9.00pm) and dawn (from 4.00am) turtle watching
sessions. After breakfast drive to Tiwi, a picturesque fishing
village situated between two of the most beautiful and
picturesque wadis in the area. Then to the Wadi Shab, one of the
most spectacular wadis in Oman. Afterwards continue along the
coast road to Muscat.
Day
11-12
Al Bustan Palace Hotel
Enjoy
three nights at the magnificent Al Bustan Palace Hotel to relax
after your tour of Oman and as a perfect end to your holiday.
Day 13 Return Home
You will be picked up for
the relatively short transfer to the airport for your journey
home with Oman Air non-stop to London Heathrow.
